Art in the Olympic Park

Tuesday, May 3, 2011
The Olympic Park will produce a green backdrop for the games and after the games in the 2012, so that people and wildlife living around will enjoy the area in the future. The southern part of the park will be focusing on how to retain the essence of festival, with its riverside gardens, markets, cafes and bars. While the northern area will be on the latest green techniques to manage flood and rain water, providing a nice and peaceful public environment for lots of living rare species. Trees have been carefully chosen to ensure they are future proof in terms of climate change. About 300,000 wetland plants have been planted in the park too. Soon it will be UK’s largest urban river and wetland planting that will help form a colorful riverside setting only in the London 2012 Games. Below are some of views at the Olympic Park.
